Dracula, made in 1931, is one of the earliest classic American horror films. It was taken from Bram Stoker's novel Dracula, published in 1897. The first film version of the novel was an early German silent film, Nosferatu: A Symphony in Terror in 1922. Dracula established Hungarian stage actor Bela Lugosi as the definitive screen vampire. Its eerie lighting, neat gliding camera trackings, and shadowy atmosphere make this movie a joy to watch. I have seen this movie a few times and each time I find something I missed the times before. If you've never seen it try to catch it sometime.
