Migrating Geese

Geese1

Geese travel in groups to spend summer in the north and winter in the south, a seasonal loop. Geese are strong fliers and travel from the Arctic Circle to the Southern part of the United States every year.

Geese2

A male goose is called a gander. They are sometimes called honkers because of the sounds they make when flying overhead. They are larger than ducks but smaller than swans.
